LASIK (laser in-situ keratomileusis) has become one of the most successful procedures to correct refractive errors, replacing glasses and contact lenses. There are no precedents for the number of procedures that are being performed Worldwide. Over one million eyes are being treated this year alone. The rapid return of functional vision, lack of discomfort, and the overall stability and accuracy of the treatment have led to this astounding success. The risk/benefit ratio for most patients exceeds that of contact lenses. Although the FDA has determined the excimer laser vision correction procedure as "safe and effective", there are still many critical factors that must be considered in order for each patient to achieve the best possible result.

Review: Every time I come back for my follow-ups, my experience at the office is great. Always greeted by whoever is at the front desk and directed to wait for my turn. Great facilities and tv entertainment to kill the time between my arrival and appointment time. Yes I was there pretty early but they still got me in early too.

Always a great time at this office. They always seem to make a personal connection with you in addition to the wonderful service they provide to take care of such an important part of your body (your eyes!!)

Review: I was referred to Dr. Foulkes by my husband and his entire family. They had gotten Lasik years ago by Dr. Foulkes and were all completely satisfied by the results. In May, I finally decided I was tired of wearing contacts and glasses. That was when I went to see Dr. Foulkes. The office was clean and the staff was very friendly. During my consultation I was told that I did not qualify for Lasik, but I was a candidate for PRK. I was so glad that Dr. Foulkes was completely honest with me and told me that Lasik would weaken my right eye in a few years. Dr. Foulkes and his staff took the time to explain PRK and the recovery to me in detail because I was extremely nervous about it. After PRK, I could not believe how accurate they were in terms of what to expect. They were right on and because I knew what to expect, it was not bad at all! I am two months out from my procedure and today I am seeing better than 20/20. I can honestly say that my life has been changed for the better. I am only sorry I didn't see Dr. Foulkes sooner!!!

Review: As usual, I was greeted genuinely by Ashley and everyone spoke to me. I was seen very quickly. Dr. Brown was very informative (as always) and answered all my questions and explained what was going on with my healing process very thoroughly.
